For this example, let’s change the search to look for Snapchat – yes, it’s an app that’s completely different but we’re just picking a popular app to show you user sentiment: MQA then begins a search in the appstore for an app named ToDoList (that is, the query is initiated from the name of the app shown above). Select the checkbox to Activate User Sentiment integration.Under the “User Sentiment Integration” section, select the link configure: After clicking to Configure it for the App store, a new tab opens with the app settings. We’ll need to configure it for the App Store by clicking on the link: Under ToDoList / iOS, find the Sentiment Score cell.Clicking on your ToDoList service panel will open up your MQA service dashboard. If this has happened to you, just click LOG IN to log in again, and navigate your way back to your service in your organization. Note: Bluemix automatically logs out users after a while. In your browser, click the Dashboard – Bluemix tab.You are welcome to choose a different app, just note that the results and the images in this tutorial will be different than your experience. For this exercise, we’re going to analyze an arbitrary app on the Apple App Store. The good news is that MQA can point to any app on the app store for the purpose of analyzing reviews. We have not published BlueList to the Apple App Store, so there are no reviews and ratings to look at. Additionally, MQA can provide an assessment of how admired or despised a mobile app is along a number of different quality spectra, such as elegance, security, stability and performance. Not only can MQA gather quality information from MQA instrumented mobile apps, but it can also analyze reviews and ratings on the Apple App Store and on Google Play. Reading through all those reviews to discover what aspects users love or hate is time consuming and error prone. As more people use an app, the review comments pile up. That said, nothing will stop users from posting comments about apps on the public app stores. MQA provides an alternate channel for users to air their concerns or wishes. The MQA SDK library can help catch issues like crashes before they erupt into flames in social media.
